Like a tailor carefully stitching together fabric, they craft immersive, poetic spaces where live music, costume, projection, and lighting blend into a single expressive body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since their debut in 2014, Circo de Sastre has captivated audiences across Japan\u2014including at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa and the Kanagawa Arts Theatre\u2014as well as abroad in France, Spain, and Indonesia. Their performances transcend conventional categories, often in collaboration with anthropologists, filmmakers, curators, publishers, and local governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their latest work, <em>Cut the Fish<\/em>, will be performed at WMDF. Layered with dreamlike visual projections, this piece premiered at KYOTOPHONIE 2023 and received acclaim for its deeply moving and genre-defying impact.
