Building a place where wishes can gather
Locally based, Tsukinaga-gumi are a team of builders and craftspeople whose work quietly shapes the places where people gather. Believing that craftsmanship can give lasting form to good ideas, they combine technical skill, creativity, and a deep respect for community to create spaces that are used, remembered, and shared for generations.
WMDF regulars will already know Tsukinaga-gumi through their handcrafted and distinctive MoguFes booths. For WMDF 2026, they have also created the festival’s saisen-bako—a traditional offering box where we can all pause and reflect on our hopes and wishes for the festival’s future.
Following last year’s collaborative Heart Bench, this project continues WMDF’s tradition of celebrating local makers alongside performers. Festivals are created not only by those who stand on stage. They are also shaped by the many hands that quietly create the places where people gather, connect, and make memories.
