Born in 1978 in Ebetsu, Hokkaido. Takeda began his musical journey at seventeen, and in 1998 made his CD debut as part of a folk duo. After the duo disbanded, he established himself as a solo performer based in Hokkaido, taking the stage over 200 times a year across the country. In 2006, he formed the heartful rock ‘n’ roll band THE 武田組 (THE Takeda-gumi). Whether performing solo or fronting the band — always dressed in his trademark red — Takeda pours every last ounce of himself into every song. His voice carries the passion that surges from deep within the soul, a tenderness that meets people where they are, and an open, unguarded smile that has never stopped moving the hearts of audiences of all ages.
