Sanjh International Folk Academy (SIFA) explodes onto the WMDF stage with the raw energy and joy of Bhangra, the iconic dance of Punjab, India. Originally a harvest dance performed by farmers, Bhangra has grown into a global symbol of celebration—defined by powerful footwork, airborne jumps, thunderous dhol rhythms, and vibrant costumes that move as wildly as the performers themselves.
Founded in 2013 by passionate artists committed to cultural preservation, SIFA has toured over 15 countries, delivering performances that are both deeply traditional and instantly electrifying. More than choreography, their shows are pure expressions of Punjabi spirit—inviting audiences to clap, move, and feel the rhythm.
